My friend and late-Umphrey's McGee drummer Mike Mirro's final record, Concerto for Double Moon by the Pneumatic Transit, is an incredible piece of art. When I heard this album it was clear to me that I had to do my part to spread the word and try to tell people about it the best I can in homage to Mike as a musician and friend. Thankfully, Modern Drummer agreed in the sheer awesomeness of Mike's work and allowed me an interview and review. Check it out below and thank you for listening:

Hey Guys,
Another awesome charity I wanted to shed a little light on is drumSTRONG. Their mission is to raise awareness and funds for cancer organizations globally through rhythm. This project is especially close to my heart as I have experienced losses from cancer and it is important to me to give my time and resources to help others beat cancer. There is one main event yearly that has an epic lineup of musicians from Jeff Sipe, Keller Williams, Mickey Hart to Jeff Coffin. I am proud to participate in this event and hope to see it grow larger each year!
Here's a video of me jamming Franklin's Tower in 2011 with Jeff Sipe, John Kadlecik, Djesben and more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OVoiWkSAYI

In keeping with the theme of talking about charitable organizations, I'm going to talk about another awesome organization, ByTheHand. These guys support inner city kids by giving them an after school program that encourages them to foster their talents and go to college.
